מטאוורסנס המלצת השבוע: "רשמים מהמסע" ההרפתקה המדהימה שלך מתחילה בתוך סקנד לייף!

שנת 2009 תציין שני מועדים המהווים אבני דרך חשובות עבור עולם המדע - מאתיים שנה להולדתו של צ'רלס דרווין, ו- 150 שנה לפרסום ספרו החשוב ביותר, מוצא המינים. כחלק מהחגיגות, יארח אתר Elucian Islands בתוך סקנד לייף את המשחק האינטראקטיבי הראשון שלו, רשמים מהמסע.

"כדי להשלים את סדרת המשימות במשחק רשמים מהמסע, יהיה עליכם להתמודד עם רעידות אדמה והתפרצויות הרי געש, לשחות בין שוניות אלמוגים ולחשוף מאובנים קבורים, ובנוסף לעמוד מול חיות פרא כגון יגוארים, עצלנים וצבי ים.

האם תצליחו לשחזר את רגעי השיא של הפלגתה המפורסמת של הספינה ביגל בה הפליג דרווין ולגלות מחדש את הגילויים המדעיים המרכזיים שלו כשאתם חמושים רק בתיק כלים, מצפן ופנקס? פרסים יוענקו למסיימים בהצלחה.

הצטרפו אלינו בתוך סקנד לייף החל מהיום, יום רביעי ה - 25 בפברואר, בתןך הארכיפלג המרהיב Elucian Islands, אשר כולל שחזור עשיר ושופע של יבשת דרום אמריקה ואיי הגלפגוס, כמו גם תעתיק מדויק בקנה מידה קטן של ספינת הוד מלכותה ביגל.

האי החדש ייפתח על ידי קארן ג'יימס, האחראית על תחום דרווין במוזיאון למדעי הטבע שבלונדון והמנהלת המדעית של פרויקט ביגל. קארן תחתוך את הסרט ותרצה בפני הנוכחים על עבודתה בנושא חגיגות היובל של דרווין.

המשתתפים יזכו בנוסף בהזדמנות לצפות בסרט שהופק על ידי Nature Video ובו ראיון עם המדען ואיש הטלוויזיה המפורסם, דיוויד אטנבורו, העוסק בדעותיו על דרווין, הברירה הטבעית והתנ"ך, לפני שיתחילו במשחק."
